Xach Gill chose North Carolina over co-finalist Virginia Tech at a ceremony held at Wake Forest High on Monday afternoon. In addition to the Heels and Hokies, Gill, a 6-foot-5, 277-pound defensive lineman, collected scholarship offers from LSU, Miami, Ole Miss, NC State, Penn State, Tennessee, UCLA, Vanderbilt, and Virginia.
