UNC's McGill asks for heavier workload
Posted Nov 2, 2006
Ronnie McGill approached the North Carolina coaching staff earlier this week with a suggestion about his role in Saturday's game at Notre Dame and for the rest of the season. "I told (Coach John Bunting) that if he gives me 35 carries I'll do more than I did last week," said McGill, a senior tailback. "I'm prepared for it, if that's what they plan on doing. I told them that if they gave me the ball 30 times I'd be happy."
