Relationship between King Rice, Roy Williams stands test of time

On Wednesday, King Rice will square off against one of his mentors, Roy Williams, when Monmouth plays seventh-ranked UNC. Thirteen years ago, Williams did everything he could to help Rice get a coaching gig. In 2003, Rice was living in Los Angeles but was out of the college game at the time when he decided it was time to get back in. He knew who he was reaching out to first.
