Rodriguez clarifies statement on Tar Heel job
Posted Oct 31, 2006
The West Virginia coach, at least to some degree, felt that he had fumbled a question regarding his interest in the head coaching job at North Carolina that he issued a clarification late in the day. "Don’t misinterpret any of my remarks today about the North Carolina job," Rodriguez said in a statement released by the school’s sports information office. "I’ve said many times and said again today on that call that you treat every job you take as if it’s the last job you ever have. As I said on the Big East call, right now I’m thinking only about playing Louisville."
