“He needs to be in the Hall of Fame,” ex-Georgetown coach John Thompson, one of Lefty Driesell’s great rivals, says. There are a million quotes like this from just about anyone you can imagine—Mike Krzyzewski, Dean Smith, Lute Olson, Red Auerbach, Jay Bilas, and on and on. Just about everyone in the game believes Lefty belongs in the Hall of Fame. But he isn’t there yet.
