Elijah Hood reverses field, opts to enter 2017 NFL draft

Three weeks after saying he'd return to UNC next season, junior running back Elijah Hood announced Friday he's foregoing his final season to enter the NFL draft. Hood skipped UNC's Sun Bowl appearance for medical reasons, but stated his intentions to play for the Tar Heels next fall. Those statements made Friday's development more surprising.
