Lissa L. Broome, chair of North Carolina Faculty Governance's athletics committee said that she met Friday with athletics director Dick Baddour to discuss the process to replace fired football coach John Bunting. "He briefed Jack Evans (NCAA's faculty representative) and I today on the process of the search," Broome said. "Brought us up to date on where he is at." Broome added that Baddour promised to keep Evans and herself informed of the progress, in part so that "we would have input in the process."
