Posted Jan 13, 2017
The bottom line ruled when it came to the Saskatchewan Roughriders trading Darian Durant’s rights to the Montreal Alouettes on Friday. The trade ended nearly 2½ months of negotiations between the Riders and Durant regarding a contract extension. Durant, 34, is still eligible to file for free agency on Feb. 14 if he doesn’t sign with the Alouettes.
