Monday’s win was the 800th in Roy Williams’ career. He is the ninth coach to win 800 games as a Division I head coach. Williams is 800-212 in 29 seasons, including 382-111 in 14 years at UNC. Williams won his 800th game in fewer seasons (29) than any coach in history. Dean Smith and Mike Krzyzewski won their 800th game in their 33rd seasons.
