Johnson stiff-arms UNC talk
Posted Oct 27, 2006
Navy head coach Paul Johnson has no desire to discuss the coaching vacancy at North Carolina, for which he is a reported candidate. Johnson tried hard to deflect the topic when asked yesterday if he had been contacted by officials at North Carolina. "We are playing Notre Dame this week. That's who I'm talking about. Notre Dame," Johnson said. "I think that's only a distraction if you let it be a distraction," said Johnson, adding that he's happy with his current status in Annapolis.
