First-place Tar Heels hope to slow down Hokies

North Carolina sits in first place in the Atlantic Coast Conference entering Thursday’s game against Virginia Tech. It’s the first of three games in six days for the ninth-ranked Tar Heels. UNC carries a six-game winning streak into the game. This is the eighth time in 14 seasons under coach Roy Williams in which the Tar Heels have been 6-1 or better in the ACC.
