UNC has 20 new football players as of Wednesday, the class plucked and prodded from the recruiting stratosphere with tons of man hours of evaluation and salesmanship by the coaching staff and, as it so often turns out, a little help from their friends. “Recruiting’s like a web of contacts you have built over the years,” UNC wide receivers coach Gunter Brewer says.
