Amid a strange situation, Tar Heels avoid awkward ending to defeat Notre Dame

There were so many strange components involving the Notre Dame / North Carolina men's basketball game that the No. 12 Tar Heels wanted to make sure there wasn’t a totally unusual ending Sunday at the Greensboro Coliseum. With that, they made enough plays in the final minutes to repel No. 20 Notre Dame 83-76 and remain alone in first place in the ACC.
