Some recruits wait to see who UNC selects as coach
Posted Oct 24, 2006
Mike Farrell, recruiting analyst with Rivals.com, said he expects many players in UNC’s class will wait until a new coach is hired before reconfirming their pledges. "These kids are just looking for a reason to want to go to North Carolina again,’" Farrell said. "Paulus wants to make sure they don’t hire some coach who is going to run the option. Dwight Jones doesn’t want a coach who’s going to run the ball 40 to 45 times a game."
