Bunting: Report of resignation not true

North Carolina football coach John Bunting today denied a report stating that he plans to resign by the end of the season possibly as early as this weekend. Contacted this afternoon by The News & Observer, Bunting was asked if he had heard about the report, and whether it was true. "I have heard it,'' Bunting said. "It is absolutely not true."
