This is the 25th time overall and the 10th time in 14 years under Roy Williams the Tar Heels have won at least 12 ACC regular-season games. The win was the 807th of Williams’ career. He passed Eddie Sutton for the eighth-most wins as a Division I head coach in college basketball history. Carolina is now 11-2 under Roy Williams in top-10 games (AP) in the Smith Center.
