’s 86th birthday is tomorrow. A special number, too. The legendary Carolina coach would have been 86 tomorrow, and the best present the Tar Heels could have given him was a win at Virginia tonight. But I can think of why the No. 86 goes very well with Smith’s legacy, beginning with the Dean Dome opening its doors in 1986 with an epic victory over Duke on January 18. (Chapelboro.com)
