From a NASCAR pit crew member to 'Survivor' star, Chase Rice still prefers country music


Long before he was known for country music, was a promising linebacker for UNC. After graduating, Rice was picked up to be part of the Hendrick Motorsports pit crew for NASCAR driver Ryan Newman and went on to serve on Jimmie Johnson’s crew. As if all that wasn’t enough, Rice then became a contestant on CBS’ “Survivor: Nicaragua” in 2010. (Orange County Register)
