North Carolina falls short when big men vanish

Kennedy Meeks, Isaiah Hicks and Tony Bradley averaged a combined 32.4 points and 20.3 rebounds per game going into Monday. Against the Cavaliers, they combined for 16 points and 14 boards. Part of that was fewer possessions; Virginia ranks last in Division I in adjusted tempo. Another factor, though, was the simple ineffectiveness of the UNC big men.
