Posted Mar 4, 2017
On March 4, 2007, with 17 seconds remaining, UNC sophomore forward Tyler Hansbrough missed the second of two free throws. The All-American retrieved the rebound and attacked the bucket. Duke guard Gerald Henderson had other plans, delivering a violent elbow to Hansbrough's face that sent him to the Dean Dome floor, where his nose began gushing blood.
