Wendell Moore helps lead Cox Mill to NC 3A title

Sophomore phenom Wendell Moore Jr. scored 29 points to lead the Cox Mill Chargers to their first state title in their first appearance in the Dean Smith Center. The Chargers defeated Eastern Guilford 70-66 to win the NCHSAA 3A boys’ championship. Moore stuffed the stat sheet with 29 points, three assists, three blocks and two steals. The 15-year-old was also the game’s MVP.
