Jim Boeheim gets contract extension to stay as Syracuse coach
Posted Mar 19, 2017
Syracuse basketball coach Jim Boeheim has received an extension to coach beyond the 2017-18 season. The extension of the veteran coach's contract came as a result of Mike Hopkins, Syracuse's head coach designate, leaving the university to take over as the head coach at the University of Washington. Boeheim had planned on stepping down following the 2017-18 season.
