Heels missing recruits

Defensive linemen Khalif Mitchell, Terry Hunter and Isaiah Thomas -- plus linebacker Fred Sparkman -- signed with UNC with great fanfare and expectations in the spring of 2003. Each would be contributing in one of the program's biggest problem areas: the defensive front seven.
