It’s one thing to put in yeoman’s work in a January home game. It’s quite another to earn an ovation like that by hanging a career high 16 points and 12 rebounds in North Carolina’s Sweet Sixteen victory over Butler, as Luke Maye did on Friday. It’s nothing new to UNC’s starters, who have been on the business end of those performances plenty of times.
