Former Virginia Tech head coach James Johnson joins N.C. State basketball staff


N.C. State hired James Johnson as an assistant coach for men’s basketball under new coach Kevin Keatts, the school announced Monday. Johnson, a former Elon assistant coach and ex-Virginia Tech coach, and Keatts were teammates at Ferrum College from 1991-93. He was in charge at Virginia Tech for two seasons from 2012-14 after five seasons on the Hokies' staff. (Burlington Times News)
