Updated: Garrison Brooks' release request denied


' request of a release from his letter of intent to Mississippi State was denied, and now the Auburn High forward says he has two options. "Either go to prep school or (Mississippi) State," he said. The 6-foot-9 Brooks, a four-star recruit, requested his release late last month. He signed with Mississippi State last fall over Auburn, North Carolina and others. Update: Brooks received his release from Mississippi later Tuesday afternoon.
