But if history has taught me anything, UNC’s 1-3 start and its performance against the Tigers is typical Bunting. Start badly, finish strongly, save your job and keep the fans hopeful that next year will be the breakthrough season the program desperately needs. So, no, John Bunting won’t be fired during or after the season.
