Two letters connect UNC's Hayley Carter with late dad

Two letters. Two people. One unbreakable relationship. Since Hayley Carter was little, she and her dad have always said goodbye the same way: She’d say “x’s and o’s” and he’d say “o’s and x’s.” The Carters are action people — they would rather show than tell. But sometimes actions don’t tell the whole story. That brings us to our first letter. (Daily Tar Heel)
