Carolina Coffee Shop, a 95-year-old institution, for sale on Franklin

Daniel Austin was working as a server at Carolina Coffee Shop when a couple came in and asked to sit at a specific table by the window. When he asked why, they said it was their 35th wedding anniversary. “They told me that the first time they met they got set up by a mutual friend while they were all in school here, and this was the meeting place,” Austin said.
