Detroit Lions exercise Eric Ebron's fifth-year option
Posted May 3, 2017
Eric Ebron seemed destined to spend at least two more years in a Detroit Lions uniform long before last week’s NFL draft. The Lions picked up the fifth-year option on Ebron’s rookie contract, giving them the right to keep the 10th pick of the 2014 draft through the 2018 season. The deal is worth roughly $8.2 million, though it’s guaranteed only for injury.
