Mia Hamm on the other football: 'I didn’t really enjoy getting hit'

Mia Hamm's favorite sport as a kid was basketball. “I was quick and competitive. I stole the ball a lot and made a lot of layups. But I didn’t have a very good shot.” Her family moved around a lot because her father was an Air Force pilot. They settled in Texas by the time she was in junior high, where she also played football while attending a small Catholic school.
