Matt Harvey makes statement Mets needed in solid start

Sunday, the Mets didn’t need a superhero, they didn’t need the Dark Knight or a king. They just needed Matt Harvey to give them a solid effort, a quality start. They crowned him for finally delivering, putting the cap on an encouraging weekend. Don’t be mistaken; this was not the vintage Matt Harvey of 2013 or 2015, but it was what he and the Mets needed to see Sunday.
