The 87 points are the most combined points in a UNC game since the Tar Heels and Syracuse combined for 96 in a 49-47 triple overtime win by the Orange on Sept. 6, 2003. Carolina's 45 points are the most scored by UNC in a game since a 49-38 win over William and Mary on Sept. 4, 2004.
