Davidson denies Tar Heels by winning NCAA regional

Davidson dealt North Carolina’s baseball team a season-ending defeat by winning 2-1 in Sunday’s NCAA regional final at Boshamer Stadium. The Tar Heels had the potential tying run thrown out at the plate when Brandon Riley was tagged trying to score on ’s one-out single to right field. “Just to get that close, that’s hard to take,” UNC coach said.
