Pittsburgh Statement Regarding the Status of Cameron Johnson

The University of Pittsburgh released the following statement to the media regarding the status of Pitt graduate transfer forward Cameron Johnson, who committed to UNC on Tuesday. Pitt is currently requiring Johnson to sit out the first of his two remaining seasons of eligibility upon transfer, per Pitt's University policy:
“The University of Pittsburgh followed the NCAA processes and our institutional policies as they are written. The NCAA is currently evaluating the graduate transfer rule and its application to this situation. We are awaiting their response.”
