A weak in-state talent base combined with local competition for recruits is the number one reason behind North Carolina's football mediocrity. To all of the UNC fans who are calling for Bunting's head: You have unrealistic expectations of the coach and the program based on high school football talent levels in North Carolina. What Mack did was special and what Crum did was in a different era.
