Mets Sign Daniel Bard to Minor League Deal


, the former dominant Red Sox reliever who lost his control during the 2012 season, is not giving up on his major league comeback attempt. Bard signed a minor league deal with the New York Mets. He has been assigned to the High-A St. Lucie Mets. The St. Louis Cardinals released him May 15 after he pitched 8 2/3 innings for Double-A Springfield. (Mass Live)
