Cignetti's playbook showed a number of nuances that underline the West Coast approach. Several times Saturday against Rutgers, Dailey threw quick screen passes to Hakeem Nicks for short gains; if the cornerback is playing off the split end, it's an easy throw to complete, it's a sure gain of a few yards, and on occasion the receiver will sidestep the tackler and turn it into a big gain.
