Hokies freshman WR Caleb Farley out for the year with knee injury

One of Virginia Tech’s most promising offensive youngsters will miss the season with a knee injury. Coach Justin Fuente announced Thursday that freshman receiver Caleb Farley is likely out for the year after suffering a non-contact injury in the Hokies’ first practice Tuesday. The blow is a tough one for a Virginia Tech receiving corps in need of weapons in the passing game. (Roanoke Times)
