Tom Sheldon Settled In, Expanding Punt Options

UNC punter Tom Sheldon spent his offseason working on what he described as “torpedo” kicks, otherwise known as traditional American punts. The rugby-style kicks are a safer option due to being easier to control distance. It also helps that rollouts offer more margin of error with a 2.1-second operation time compared to the conventional style’s 2.0-second goal.
