Tar Heels take next steps in camp

North Carolina’s football team began working on the game plan for California in Thursday’s practice, but coach Larry Fedora gave no indication on who would be directing the offense from quarterback. Nor did the coach offer a reduced list of quarterback candidates, so the public mystery is bound to last another week. UNC opens the season Sept. 2 at home. (Burlington Times News)
