Tift Merritt talks being a mom, writing and her new album

Tift Merritt has a long, treasured history performing in Wilmington. In the early 1990s, she lived here and played gigs around town. A native of Raleigh, she played the first concert at the renovated Greenfield Lake Amphitheater in 2008, and the Grammy-nominated singer has made regular stops here throughout her career.
