Eight bowl appearances in nine years. Nineteen wins through the last two seasons. Why wouldn’t North Carolina be a force in the ACC this fall? The Tar Heels entered 2017 with perhaps the most talented defense they’ve fielded in the Larry Fedora era. Speaking of Fedora, the 54-year-old clinched bowl eligibility in eight of his first nine years as a head coach.
