Vince Carter was a YouTube superstar before YouTube was born (his mesmerizing performance at the 2000 Slam Dunk Contest came five years before YouTube was founded). He played a style that lent itself to rabid fanfare, but also molded a cultural movement that put basketball on the map in Toronto. "It was his enthusiasm, that attitude, the flair," his mom says.
