2005 national champion David Noel returns to alma mater as a coach

Although he didn’t know when, why or how it would happen, David Noel was certain he’d coach one day. And he was right. The call came in late August. Kendrick Hall, the men’s basketball head coach at Southern Durham High School, had stepped down. The school wanted Noel to apply. After all, it was his home. Fifteen years ago, Noel was a football and basketball star at the school.
