The Tar Heels lost starting wide receivers Austin Proehl and Toe Groves to significant and potentially season-ending injuries, one week after losing another starter for the season in Thomas Jackson. After Saturday’s loss, UNC head coach Larry Fedora admitted that there were several times late in the game where young receivers were playing positions they had never practiced.
