Roy's request, not malfunction, caused late confetti drop

I always wondered why the championship confetti was tardy after North Carolina's victory over Gonzaga. It wasn't a malfunction that delayed it, just a request from Roy Williams who has experienced both sides of a grueling championship game. "When that confetti is coming down on my head after the Villanova game, I would have choked somebody, " Williams joked. (WRAL Sports Fan)
