Spurs’ Danny Green still hungry after finally gaining defensive recognition

The work continued this summer as Danny Green — the only player in Spurs franchise history to record at least 700 3-pointers and 300 blocks — focused on improving his long-range touch after consecutive seasons shooting under 40 percent. Having turned 30 on June 22 and about to embark on his ninth NBA season, Green realizes he’s no longer one of the young guys. (San Antonio Express-News)
