Tar Heels Cracking on Third Down

North Carolina was good enough defensively on early downs to stay within reach of Georgia Tech on Saturday. Those advantages were lost on third and fourth downs and led to fatigue as the Yellow Jackets pulled away for a 33-7 victory. “We had opportunities to get off the field on 3rd-and-longs and we didn’t do that in the first half,” UNC coach Larry Fedora said.
