Tar Heels try to match up with Notre Dame

If it takes the arrival of Notre Dame to stir North Carolina’s struggling football team into a better performance, that will be a bonus for the Tar Heels. They say they’re more consumed with figuring out their own issues than to be overwhelmed by the appearance of the 21st-ranked Irish and their considerable tradition. But it’s a least a compelling sideshow. (Burlington Times News)
